2016: Dutch Industry: the Next Smart Step

In 2016, the Netherlands Academy of Technology and Innovation celebrates its 30th anniversary with the AcTI Innovation Conference on the theme of Industry 4.0 – Smart Industry. 2015: Engineering Smart Cities of the Future

On November 2nd , 2015 in Delft the 2015 Annual Conference of Euro-CASE, the European Council of Academies of Applied Sciences, Technologies and Engineering took place. The AcTI Innovation Conference was hosting the Euro-CASE Annual Conference, extending it to a high level European Conference inspired by the grand societal challenges: Engineering Smart Cities of the Future.
The 2015 Innovation Conference focused on the effect of technology and innovation on the further development of smart cities. On how such technology and innovation can help us make our future cities healthier, safer, more mobile and more social in a sustainable way, while still preserving privacy. During its 2014 Innovation Conference, AcTI highlighted the urgent need for innovation and entrepreneurship in order to address increasing urbanisation in a dynamic, healthy and sustainable way.
